Is celulose insulation more expensive than fiberglass in professional applications?
Cellulose will always give you the best value for your money.  Your savings will be realized through lower energy bills as long as you own your home.  Your investment in cellulose insulation pays for itself month after month.

When you consider performance and safety factors the balance swings to cellulose building insulation.

Thermal resistance (R-Value) is one of several factors that contribute to the performance of the "thermal envelope" of a building. It is a mistake to consider only R-Value when specifying insulation, but the R-Value is important. Knowing what the R-value is may be the biggest challenge for a buyer or specifier.

The R-factor of cellulose insulation is approximately 3.8 per inch and it does not vaaary significantly over a wide range of densities. In an attic, 10 inches of cellulose insulation will have an R-value of about R-38, regardless of the density of the material.

It's important to emphasize that while R-value is important, many other factors are nearly as significant in determining the real world thermal performance of buildings. Focusing on R-value to the exclusion of these can lead to poorly-performing buildings.

What can Cellulose do for me?

Delivers permanent, high efficiency thermal insulation and effective R-value

Has permanent and proven fire resistance providing added safety

Reduces nuisance noise when used in walls

Offers a more comfortable living space

Is made from at least 80% recycled paper fiber

Supports energy conservation programs focused on environmental responsibility

Protect Your Home—Effectively
Cocoon insulation forms a monolithic blanket of protection—blocking air infiltration and convection currents that are both primary causes of energy loss.
Insulate Against the Seasons
The R-value of Cocoon insulation, or its ability to stop heat transfer, remains consistent through a greater temperature and application range than that of loose-fill fiberglass, keeping heat in during the winter, and out during the summer.
Make Your Home Safe
Cocoon insulation can increase a wall’s fire resistance by 22-55%. Cellulose insulation is non-toxic, and GreenFiber guarantees its products for the life of your house.
Insulate Your House and Preserve Your Planet
Insulate Your House and Preserve Your Planet
Cocoon insulation resists moisture, reduces noise, and preserves natural resources.
Bring the Smarter Insulation to Your House
Install Cocoon loose-fill attic insulation yourself, or have stabilized insulation installed by a Cocoon insulation professional.
